Who Saturday is for

You don't need to be a Josiah family to join.

Saturday classes are open to every family in Singapore, whether or not your child attends a Josiah centre during the week.

01

Your child is already at Josiah

Same method, one more morning. Montessori Phonics gives a four to seven-year-old extra time with reading, without adding a weekday.

02

Your child is at home, with you or a nanny

Baby and Toddler Montessori are parent-accompanied. You sit beside your child, and the guide shows you what to try at home, so you can pass it on to whoever cares for your child during the week.

03

You want to try one Saturday first

No interview and no term commitment to start. Book a trial class for $18 and watch how your child settles. If you enrol, the $18 comes off your first term.

The programmes

Three classes, one developmental path.

Find your child by age, from a baby's first months to the year before the Primary years. Each one starts with a trial class.

Baby Montessori

Before your baby can speak, they are already learning. Every reach, grasp and roll tells you something.

You sit beside your child while a Montessori guide shows you how to read those signals: when your baby is exploring, when they need space, and how to set up a home where their senses and coordination can grow. Your baby sets the pace of every session.

  • Ten Saturday lessons a term, all materials included
  • A trained guide who coaches you as well as your baby
  • Ideas you can use at home the same week

Toddler Montessori

They want to pour their own water. Dress themselves. Say the word they have been reaching for. This class teaches you to let them.

Toddler Montessori gives your toddler room to practise what they are itching to do: pouring, tidying, greeting, sharing, naming things and moving with purpose. Your guides show you how to offer choices and set gentle limits, so the same calm carries home.

Montessori Phonics

One day your child reads a whole book, cover to cover. This class builds toward that day at your child's own pace.

Montessori Phonics is a small-group reading class where each child follows their own path: sounds through songs, letters through movement and touch, and reading through stories and real materials. In a mixed-age room, four-year-olds watch six-year-olds read aloud, and the older children strengthen their own reading by helping. After every Saturday, your guide tells you what they saw and what to practise at home.

  • Ten Saturday lessons a term, with a reading path set for your child
  • A mixed-age room where younger children learn from older ones
  • An update from your guide after each session

Real Montessori, kept small and kept calm.

01

Trained guides, real materials

Your child works with authentic Montessori materials, led by a trained guide who moves at your child's pace.

02

Eight children to a class

We cap every class at eight, so your guide sees your child's progress each Saturday. It also means places run out.

03

Time to concentrate

Your child gets long stretches of uninterrupted work with no drilling. That habit of focus carries into the Primary years.

Tell us a little about your child and we will confirm your Saturday slot on WhatsApp, usually the same day. The $18 comes off your first term.

Before you book. You may see the name Agora when you book or message us on WhatsApp. Agora looks after booking and enquiries for Josiah Enrich. Your classes, teachers and centre are all Josiah. Because classes stay small, trial places are limited each Saturday.

Good to know

Questions parents ask.

Does my child have to attend Josiah to join a weekend class?

No. Weekend classes are open to every family in Singapore. If your child is at home with you or a nanny, the parent-accompanied Baby and Toddler classes suit you well.

How much does a term cost, and what is included?

Each term is ten Saturday lessons. Baby and Toddler Montessori are $420 a term, a founding-family rate against a usual $520. Montessori Phonics is $650, usually $750. There is no registration fee and materials are included. The only extra is the storybook for Montessori Phonics. Your trial class is $18, and it comes off your term fee when you enrol. You can pay with SGLife credits.

What ages do you take, and how are classes grouped?

From six months to seven years. Baby Montessori is 6 to 15 months and Toddler Montessori is 15 to 36 months, both with you in the room. Montessori Phonics is for ages four to seven, where children join on their own. Tell us your child's age and we will place them in the right class.

My child has never done a class like this. Is that okay?

Yes. Montessori follows the child, so there is nothing to prepare and no group to keep up with. Our guides are used to the wriggly, the watchful and the brand new. Come to a trial class and see how your child settles.

Is it parent-accompanied or drop-off?

Baby and Toddler Montessori are parent-accompanied, so you are beside your child and learning alongside them. From age four, in Montessori Phonics, children join on their own while you wait nearby.

How big are the classes?

We cap every class at eight children, so your guide sees your child each week. That is also why trial places go quickly.

What if we miss a class?

We build two make-up credits into every term. Arrange them with us in advance, subject to availability. Fees are not refundable, but you can make up a missed class.

Where exactly are you, and is there parking?

Josiah Suntec, 3 Temasek Boulevard, #01-618 to 620, Suntec City Mall. It is a four-minute walk from Esplanade or Promenade MRT, and paid parking is available in Suntec City.

When does the next term start?

You can start at any point and we will pro-rate the fee for the lessons left in the term. Message us on WhatsApp for the next start date.

How is this different from the MAP Programme at a Josiah centre?

The Music, Art & Performance Programme runs through the week for children enrolled at a Josiah centre, inside the school day. Weekend classes are separate, open to everyone, and run only on Saturday mornings at Suntec. A Josiah child can do both.
