1. Who we are

Josiah Montessori Pte Ltd (“Josiah,” “we,” “us”) is a Singapore-registered preschool operator caring for children across our centres since 1997. We are committed to protecting the personal data you and your child entrust to us, in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

2. The personal data we collect

From parents and guardians: your name, contact details, NRIC/FIN or passport details (where required for registration or government subsidy), and billing information.

About your child: name, date of birth, birth-certificate and nationality details, photographs, health, medical, dietary and allergy information, and developmental, learning and attendance records.

We collect this information when you enquire, book a visit, register, or during your child’s enrolment with us.

3. How we use it

• To respond to your enquiries and arrange centre visits;
• To process registration and enrolment;
• To provide day-to-day care and education, and to communicate with you about your child;
• To meet regulatory, licensing and subsidy obligations, including those of the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA);
• To process fees and payments;
• To keep you informed about your child’s progress and centre matters.

We rely on your consent and, where applicable, on legal obligation.

4. When we disclose it

We disclose personal data only where necessary: to staff at your child’s centre; to government agencies where required (for example ECDA or the Ministry of Health); and to trusted service providers — such as IT, payment and communications partners — who are bound to protect it. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Consent and withdrawal

By providing personal data you consent to its use as described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us. Please note that withdrawing certain consents may mean we are no longer able to offer a place or provide a particular service.

6. Protection and retention

We protect personal data with reasonable administrative, physical and technical safeguards, and we keep it only for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, after which it is securely disposed of.
