It’s the holidays again! Here at Josiah, we provided our very own exciting and enriching holiday programmes – and all centres has a theme of their own. Let’s check out what our children did this holiday!

First stop: SUNTEC

It’s all about TOYS!

Here at Josiah Suntec, our little ones explored olden school toys such as 5-stones, kuti kuti, and chapteh. They also explored traditional and cultural toys such as Chinese animal chess, Malay congkak, Western hop-scotch, as well as Indian tiger & goat. And how can we forget about modern day toys, and toys appreciation? Our children explored a whole range of board games and electronic games, as well as how to appreciate the toys they have.

Let’s take a moment to immerse ourselves in nostalgia, as we reminisce the good old days when we played with olden school toys and traditional toys.

 

Second stop: CHANGI

This June Holidays, Josiah Changi decided to get healthy together! Adopting the theme of “Let’s Get Healthy Together”, our little ones at Josiah Changi were engaged in a series of healthy living themed activities. Our children had lots of fun making healthy fruit salad and healthy fruit tarts. Above that, they also had lots of fun in their Zumba classes where they get to work their little bodies out, and get a step closer to healthy living!

To spice things up a little, our little ones even went on a field trip to HealthZone @ Health Promotion Board, where they learned more about healthy living through an interactive carnival, “The Active Detective”.

Third stop: TAMPINES MART

Back to Mother Nature!

This year, Josiah Tampines returned to our natural classroom – outdoors! We had tents, binoculars, and even tie-dyed bandanas! Our precious little ones were also taught to make compass bracelets, head torches, as well as paper Frisbees. We had a really good time with lots of games.

How could we end an outdoor session without a picnic session and songs? Our children enjoyed a spread of food, from french toast fruit kebabs, to franks under wraps, and even grilled banana smores! What a finger lickin’ good time!

 

Last stop: APERIA

Josiah Aperia adopted the theme of “The Wonders of the World”, where our children at Aperia explored more about creepy crawlies, colours of the world, the underwater world, the endangered animals of the ocean, and even how to save the Earth!

Our children embarked on activities which included project work involving saving the earth, cookery activities on creepy crawlies, as well as Eric Carle’s story-based (such as “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” and “The Very Grouchy Ladybug”) activities.
